What TileTwirl does

Drag it past the edge

Push a drawing past the edge of your block and it comes back on the other side, corners too. Your download tile always fits edge to edge, with no seams, gaps or cut-off drawings.

5 repeat styles

Grid, half-drop, brick, mirror and diamond. Switch any time and nothing is lost. Scatter, straight rows, honeycomb and 8 balanced layouts are a tap away.

Your drawings, cleaned up

Upload PNG, JPG, WEBP or SVG. A white background turns clear, and a clipart sheet is cut apart into separate drawings.

Open a tile you already have

An existing seamless tile opens with every drawing movable, even the ones cut by the edge. Add text in 8 fonts.

Recolor everything

TileTwirl finds the main colors in your drawings. Change one and it changes everywhere, pick one of 6 color sets, or shift the hue for the whole pattern.

Tumbler wraps and more

Files sized for 15, 20, 30 and 40 oz tumblers, 11 and 15 oz mugs, 12 x 12 digital paper, fabric at 150 DPI and more. Match the seam makes a wrap meet itself with no line.

How you get it

It's a digital download. After you buy on Etsy, open Purchases in a web browser and click Download Files. The Etsy phone app can't download files.
Your guide PDF has everything you need to open the app.

Internet the first time. It works offline after the first open.
Your own drawings, or start with the 24 starter drawings

Good to know

TileTwirl arranges, repeats and recolors drawings you upload. It doesn't draw new art for you.
300 DPI files can't add detail a small upload doesn't have, so start from art that's big enough.
Blank sizes vary a little between makers. Measure yours.
For detailed editing, a computer or tablet is easiest.
It's for your own use. Please don't share your app link.
It's a digital download. Nothing is shipped.

Do I need design skills?

No. Upload your drawings, drag them around and pick a repeat style. There's nothing to install.

Will my pattern have seams?

No. What you see is what repeats: your download tile always fits edge to edge, with no seams, gaps or cut-off drawings.

What sizes can I download?

A seamless tile at any size in inches at 300, 150 or 72 DPI, or a file sized for your product: tumblers, mugs, digital paper, fabric, gift wrap and more. PNG or TIFF up to 12,000 px.

Can I sell what I make?

Yes. Patterns you make from your own art, or from our starter drawings, are yours to use and sell on products.

Does it draw art for me?

No. TileTwirl arranges, repeats and recolors drawings you upload. 24 starter drawings are included to play with.

What can I use it on?

Computers, tablets and phones, in Chrome, Safari or Edge. It works offline after the first open, and your patterns save on your device as you go.

How do I get it after I buy?
