Enter a return as a second row with a negative quantity. Every fee reverses, including flat fees, the item goes back into stock, and the return isn't counted as a loss.

How you get it

Buy direct: right after you pay, you land on your download page with the spreadsheet and the guide.
On Etsy: open Purchases in a web browser and click Download Files. The Etsy phone app can't download files.
Open it in Excel, or upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. The guide shows each step.

What you need

Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice Calc. All three are tested.

Good to know

Fee rates are typed in from each platform's published schedule, and platforms change them. Check each row against a real payout statement; the workbook tells you which rows you haven't checked.
The Amazon row uses 17% + $0.99 per item so your profit is never overstated. Set it to the rate for your category.
The tax figure is a budgeting estimate using a rate you choose. It isn't tax advice.
Google Sheets removes sheet protection on import, so the formulas aren't locked there.
It opens completely empty. The Example tab is separate and doesn't touch your totals.
It's a digital download. Nothing is shipped.

Questions

Does it work in Google Sheets?

Yes. It works in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice Calc, and all three are tested. Google Sheets removes sheet protection on import, so the formulas aren't locked there.

Which marketplaces are built in?

Etsy, eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Whatnot, Vinted, Grailed, StockX, GOAT, Curtsy and Reverb, plus your own website and a blank row for anywhere else.

Why not one fee percentage for everything?

Because each platform has its own rules. Poshmark excludes shipping, eBay includes it and Facebook has a minimum fee, so a single percentage gets all three wrong.

How do I enter a return?

Add a second row with a negative quantity. Every fee reverses, the item goes back into stock, and it isn't counted as a loss.

How much can it hold?

Is the tax set-aside tax advice?

No. It's a budgeting estimate using a rate you choose. Confirm what you actually owe with an accountant.
