Best Mini PCs of 2026

Seven compact desktops we'd actually buy – for business, home offices, tight budgets, and silent running.

A good mini PC pulls off a quiet trick: it disappears. Bolt it to the back of your monitor, plug in a screen and a keyboard, and within a day you forget it’s there – right up until you notice how much desk you got back. Over the past year these little boxes have become the machine I recommend to most people working from home, and the seven below are the ones I keep coming back to.

The reason is the silicon. A current mini from Dell, HP, or MINISFORUM now ships with a genuine processor, 16GB of memory, and a quick SSD – enough to carry a full day of email, spreadsheets, twenty browser tabs, and one call after another without strain. Unless you’re gaming seriously or cutting 4K video, a full tower just isn’t the obvious buy anymore. Apple’s 24-inch iMac is in the mix too, for anyone who would rather live in macOS.

Sorting out the rest of the desk while you’re here? These pair neatly with our Best Home Office Monitors for 2026 and Best Home Office Printers for 2026 picks – and if you need something you can carry, the Best Business Laptops for 2026 guide is worth a look. Want a full-size tower instead? That’s a different list: see our Best Desktop Computers of 2026.

If you read one entry here, make it this one. The IT13 pairs a 13th-generation i5-13600H with 16GB of RAM and a full terabyte of storage, and it drives four 8K displays through two USB4 ports running at 40Gbps. That combination is what most people actually need from a mini: enough processor to never think about it, enough storage to stop managing it, and enough display output to run a real desk. It also has the deepest review history of any mini PC we could verify as Prime, at over 570 owner ratings.

Pros

  • 13th-gen i5-13600H, quick for everything short of rendering
  • 1TB SSD, double what most minis ship with
  • Two USB4 ports at 40Gbps and quad 8K display support
  • 571 owner ratings, the deepest track record here
  • SD card slot built in

Cons

  • Integrated graphics only
  • No discrete GPU option, like every mini here
  • Ships without a monitor

Delivery note: this one currently ships from a marketplace seller rather than from Amazon. The listing is genuine and the price is live, but delivery and returns run through that seller rather than through Amazon. Checked August 31, 2026.

The ProDesk is the one an IT department would actually sign off on. It is a genuine HP business machine with Windows 11 Pro out of the box, a six-core i5-12400T tuned for low power and low heat, and triple display support from a chassis that hides behind a monitor. Fleet buyers care about the Pro license and the standard HP management tooling far more than raw speed, and that is exactly what this delivers.

Pros

  • Windows 11 Pro licensed from the factory
  • Six-core i5-12400T, efficient and cool
  • Triple display support
  • Standard HP business platform for fleet management
  • WiFi 6

Cons

  • Sold by a third-party reseller rather than HP or Amazon directly
  • 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD are thin for the price
  • Only 58 owner ratings

A home office asks a machine to do everything at once – a dozen browser tabs, a video call, a spreadsheet, music – and the thing that makes that feel effortless is memory. The A6 ships with 32GB of DDR5, double the usual, behind a Ryzen 7 6800H and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 drive. The aluminum case runs quiet, and there is an SD slot on the front for camera work.

Pros

  • 32GB DDR5 as standard, and upgradable
  • Ryzen 7 6800H, eight cores
  • 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD
  • USB4, 8K output and WiFi 6E
  • Aluminum chassis that stays quiet

Cons

  • Only 54 owner ratings so far
  • Integrated Radeon graphics
  • Costs more than the entry picks here

This is the cheapest way onto the list by a wide margin, and it is honest about what it is: a small box for browsing, documents, email and digital signage. It has 512GB of storage, which is generous at this price, dual HDMI for two screens, and gigabit wired networking. Read the trade-offs carefully before you buy – they are real.

Pros

  • By far the lowest price here
  • 512GB SSD at an entry price
  • Dual HDMI for a two-screen setup
  • Gigabit wired LAN
  • 101 owner ratings

Cons

  • Ships with Windows 10, which is out of mainstream support – budget for an upgrade
  • Core i3-5005U is a 2015-era processor
  • WiFi 5 rather than WiFi 6
  • 8GB of RAM

Fanless means silent – not quiet, silent. There is no moving part in this machine to make noise or collect dust, which matters if it sits on a desk in a room where you record, take calls, or simply cannot stand a whine. It pairs an efficient Intel N150 with 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD, 2.5-gigabit networking and Windows 11 Pro, and it will run for years untouched.

Pros

  • Completely fanless, so it makes no noise at all
  • 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD
  • 2.5G LAN, faster than the usual gigabit
  • Windows 11 Pro included
  • No fan means no dust intake and less to fail

Cons

  • N150 is an efficiency chip, not a fast one
  • Only 35 owner ratings
  • Not suitable for heavy multitasking

If your desk runs three or four screens, this is the one. It uses Intel Arc integrated graphics rather than basic UHD, which is what makes driving several high-resolution panels at once viable, and it backs that with a Core Ultra 5 125U carrying an AI accelerator. It is also the only machine here with WiFi 7 and dual wired LAN ports.

Pros

  • Intel Arc graphics, genuinely better at multi-display work
  • WiFi 7, the newest wireless standard on this page
  • Dual LAN ports for networking or failover
  • Core Ultra 5 with an AI accelerator
  • 175 owner ratings

Cons

  • 500GB SSD is smaller than the IT13 above
  • 16GB is soldered LPDDR5, so not upgradable
  • Integrated graphics still will not game

A Ryzen 9 8945HS is a laptop-class flagship, and dropping it into a box this size makes the A8 MAX the fastest machine on this page by a clear margin. With 32GB of DDR5 and a 1TB drive it will handle photo work, code compiles, virtual machines and light video editing – the jobs people usually assume require a full tower.

Pros

  • Ryzen 9 8945HS, the fastest processor here
  • 32GB DDR5 and a 1TB SSD
  • Handles VMs, compiles and photo work
  • Dual LAN and USB4
  • Still quiet under load

Cons

  • The most expensive machine on this list
  • Integrated graphics cap serious 3D work
  • 147 ratings is a moderate sample

An eight-core Ryzen 7 with 16GB of memory and a 512GB NVMe drive, for meaningfully less than the rest of the GEEKOM range. It drives four displays, has a card reader, and carries a three-year coverage plan – unusual at this price. If the IT13 is more machine than you need, this is where the money stops making sense.

Pros

  • Eight-core Ryzen 7 7730U for the price of a budget box
  • 16GB RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD
  • Four-display support and dual HDMI
  • Three-year coverage
  • 224 owner ratings

Cons

  • Ryzen 7 7730U is a previous-generation chip
  • WiFi 6 rather than 6E or 7
  • Integrated Radeon graphics

  • ใ€Triple Video Outputใ€‘This Mini PC boasts three video outputs, enabling 8K@60Hz display via HDMI 2.1 and USB4 ports, and …

The UM750L is the flattest machine here, which makes it the easiest to hide behind a monitor or slide under a shelf. Inside is a Ryzen 5 7545U with 16GB of memory and a full terabyte of storage, plus USB4 video output, 2.5-gigabit networking and WiFi 6E. It is a lot of specification for a very small footprint.

Pros

  • Slimmest chassis on this list
  • 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM
  • USB4 video output plus HDMI and DisplayPort
  • 2.5G LAN and WiFi 6E
  • Radeon 740M graphics

Cons

  • Only three owner ratings, so the long-term record is unproven
  • Ryzen 5 is the slowest of the current-generation chips here
  • Slim case leaves little room for cooling headroom

How to choose the best mini PC in 2026

Specs matter, but a handful of them matter far more than the rest when you’re buying a small desktop. Here’s what I’d actually weigh up.

Form factor

Mini and micro PCs are the stars here: tiny, near-silent, and strong enough for almost all office work, and most will bolt to the back of a monitor so they vanish entirely. An all-in-one like the iMac folds the computer into the screen for the tidiest possible desk. A full tower still wins on raw power and upgrade room, but for everyday productivity, most people simply don’t need one anymore.

Processor and AI

Aim for a current mid-range chip – an Intel Core Ultra 5, a Core i7, an AMD Ryzen 5, or Apple’s M4. Any of them will cruise through real work. The newer “AI PC” chips add an NPU for Copilot+ features and on-device AI Not sure what that means in practice? What is an NPU? AI PCs explained covers what it does and whether you need one.; it’s nice to have, not essential for writing emails. Efficient parts like Intel’s N150 are fine if your needs stay light.

Memory and storage

Get 16GB of RAM and don’t look back – it’s the floor for a computer you want to keep for years, and every pick above includes it. A 512GB SSD suits most people; step up to 1TB if you hoard photos, video, or big project files. Whatever you do, steer clear of anything still using a spinning hard drive as its main storage.

Ports and connectivity

Count the USB ports, make sure the video outputs match your monitors (HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C), and check the Wi-Fi is recent. Running two screens is normal for office work, so confirm dual-display support – all seven here manage it.

Windows or macOS

Windows 11 gives you the broadest software and hardware support, and the Pro edition adds the management and security tools businesses want. macOS is the move if you’re already in Apple’s world or you love how quiet and efficient Apple silicon is. Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, and anything web-based run fine on either.

Budget

A capable mini with 16GB and an SSD starts around what our budget pick costs. Spend more for a quicker chip, extra storage, a gorgeous all-in-one screen, or business features – just don’t pay for headroom you’ll never touch.

Best mini PCs: frequently asked questions

Is a mini PC powerful enough for real work?

For the vast majority of people, yes. Give a modern mini a current Core Ultra, Core i7, Ryzen 5, or M4 chip, 16GB of memory, and an SSD, and it’ll handle Microsoft 365, a wall of browser tabs, video calls, and light photo work without complaint. The only folks who still need a tower are serious gamers and creators pushing large video or 3D projects.

How much RAM do I really need?

16GB. It’s the comfortable baseline for a machine you’ll keep a few years. 8GB gets tight fast in 2026, and 32GB only pays off if you do heavy multitasking or creative work.

Mini PC or all-in-one?

Go mini if you already own a monitor or want to choose your own – it’s cheaper and more flexible. Go all-in-one, like the iMac, if you’d rather have a great screen built in and just one cable to deal with.

Mac or Windows for business?

Windows 11 Pro is the safe, compatible default, especially if IT needs to manage the machine. macOS is excellent if you’re in the Apple ecosystem and don’t lean on Windows-only software. The everyday business apps run well on both.

Do these come with a monitor?

Only the iMac, because it’s an all-in-one. The mini PCs expect you to bring your own monitor, keyboard, and mouse – which is part of how they stay so affordable and let you reuse what you already have.

How we select products

We dig through what’s actually for sale – reading the specs, comparing configurations, watching Amazon pricing, and weighing long-term value – and we stick to models listed new and in stock, so the link you click lands on the thing you just read about. Our focus is real buyers: people setting up home offices, remote and hybrid workers, small businesses, students, and IT teams, rather than gaming benchmarks or $5,000 workstations. Nobody pays us for a place on this list. If you buy through one of our Amazon links we may earn a small commission, and it never costs you a penny more.
